A maintained vacant plot wouldn’t bother me, but one being used for dumping would make me reconsider.

My bigger concern would be future construction. You could buy a peaceful house today and have major construction happening next door for a year.

I actually like having an empty plot next door because it provides temporary openness and privacy. I just wouldn’t assume it will remain vacant.

I would be cautious, especially if the plot has no boundary wall. An empty plot can become an easy access point to neighboring houses, so I would check how well the area is secured.
