A house can look excellent during an evening viewing but feel completely different during the daytime. Direct sunlight can affect room temperature, lighting, dampness and even how comfortable different parts of the house feel. When viewing a property, how much importance do you give to sunlight reaching bedrooms, kitchens and living areas?
Sunlight is a big factor for me. A house with good natural light feels more open and comfortable, and it can also help with dampness.
I think buyers often focus more on location, price and construction quality. Sunlight usually gets noticed only after people actually start living in the house.

For me, sunlight and ventilation are almost as important as the layout. You can renovate interiors, but changing the direction a house faces isn’t easy.
