Do property buyers in Pakistan underestimate the importance of emergency vehicle access?

When people visit a house, they usually check the street width, parking and general location, but emergency access rarely comes up. In some neighborhoods, parked cars, narrow turns or congested streets could make it difficult for an ambulance or fire vehicle to reach a property quickly. Should this be part of a buyer’s checklist?

Definitely. I think people only realize this after an emergency happens. A street may look perfectly fine for normal cars but be difficult for an ambulance or fire truck.

It matters, but probably more in densely populated areas. In a properly planned society with wide streets and controlled parking, I wouldn’t consider it a major concern.

I’d actually check this together with exit routes. A wide street doesn’t help much if the entire block has only one congested entrance.

This is one of those factors that probably won’t increase the advertised value of a house, but it can make a big difference to the people actually living there.
