There are houses in Phase 6 with very different interior styles despite being in similar locations and plot categories. For sellers, does spending money updating an older interior actually improve saleability, or are buyers likely to renovate according to their own taste anyway?

For me, kitchens and bathrooms make the biggest difference. Buyers immediately calculate renovation costs when these look dated.

I wouldn’t spend heavily before selling. Many DHA buyers change interiors regardless of how recently they were done.

It probably depends on whether you’re targeting end users or someone primarily interested in the land.

I think modern interiors definitely help a house sell faster in Phase 6, but only when the asking price is reasonable. Buyers may like a beautiful interior, but they won’t ignore an overpriced property just because it has imported tiles and fancy lighting.

For me, the plot and exact location would come first. Interiors can be changed later, but you can’t change the street, block or surroundings after buying.

It probably depends on the buyer. An end user who wants to move in immediately may happily pay more for a modern, finished house. Someone thinking more like an investor may care much more about the underlying land.

I think there’s a middle ground. The house doesn’t need an ultra-luxury interior, but outdated kitchens, bathrooms and flooring can make buyers immediately start calculating renovation costs. Recent Lahore buyer discussions show this concern with older DHA houses.
